I still visit this Singapore biking website- www.togoparts.com that features bikes and accesories review, showrooms, marketplace for buying and selling, bulletin board and great photos. Perhaps one should cross posts to increase traffic to this English forum.

It's a good idea but usually it's hard to increase traffic because as you can see... there's not many of us here in the English forum to start with and i doubt your fellow Singaporean friends are interested either. A good referrence point though...

It depends on what kind of parts you ship into China. I've had my Sidi Shoes and Fizik saddle shipped from Malaysia to Mainland without any problems...so as long as you don't buy in bulk is fine.

Eric are you from Malaysia? If you are, which LBS do you frequent there? Did you ship directly from the LBS?

Bro.... I thought i told you i'm from Malaysia? Anyway... I frequent 2 bike shops in KL; KSH in Taman Tun and Bike Pro (Boon Foo) in Taman Mega.... there's another posh bike shop called concept cycles that i've yet to visit but i will when i return this coming CNY. Yes i deal direct with the LBS and have them ship parts which i can't find here in China.

I have friends and colleagues that travel from Singapore to Shanghai. Can ask them to help to buy if parts are not too large.... ie fit into a suitcase.

Fastjudy, didn't know you are from Malaysia. Which part of Malaysia and how long have you been here? I was born in Sarawak, Malaysia but studies and work in Singapore.

Nope I didn't know you were from Msia :) Yeah I know those to shops. Bought my first all-mountain bike from KSH Tmn Tun. Bikepro has some really nice bikes and frames the last time I was there. Sorry I don't know which is the PM button in the forum, how's the shipping charges to China? Do you deal with Leong (KSH) and Boon Foo?

Hi Fellas,

Yeah...born and raised in K.L, Malaysia...   I've been working in SH for the pass 4 years in an advertising agency...

SV ~ A couple of friends of mine are from Singapore too and sometimes they help me to get parts... but majority of the items are more expensive than China other than some very exotic/hard-to-find parts.

illbient ~ I ship the parts in via FedEx, it's only safe to do it that way rather than having to wait weeks or risk losing it. It's more expensive but guaranteed to reach you in 2-3 days max! I have my stuff shipped in individually and each trip cost about RM$102 = RMB$200. Make no mistake all parts have to be shipped in one by one, don't get smart by shipping in bulk because i learn my lesson the hard way, got taxed RMB$1600+ for a box of parts that came in from US.

I only deal with Boon Foo internationally as he is more affluent in English, Leong is more of a local affair.
