Bicycles and metro trains

  Does anyone know if you are allowed to take your bike into the metro trains? I've asked a few locals and no one seems to know for sure. Thanks.

fastjudy summed it up well,

but put the bike on the 'floor' of the taxi...put on the seat later they not happy and u tio meh.

most drivers will say no cannot put... but u tell him can put...

usually the 2 and 3 stars taxis will be nicer to approach as compared to the no star ones.

when u are master at it... if u see any clowns insists taht u cannot put, place a 100rmb wager on him that u can...

if u do it, he'll shuttup!

no worries, take off your front wheel and stuff it behind the back seats. Most Santana taxi runs on natural gas hence there's a large gas tank located behind the trunk...

It depends how you interpret "dead"..

anyhow.... during non peak hours... those jokers couldn't be borthered to stop you..

went to pudong and back to my place in weining road mrt station today...

my brother and i + another guy... all 3 bikes went into the train without problems from those clowns.

so i guess its alright as long as its off peak.

oh yes, we had to remove the front wheel when we went in... but after the clowns werent looking, we put the wheels on and didnt bother.

Thanks for the replies. They don't make it easy :( with bike, wheel and ticket going through the turnstyles!

Dismantling the FRONT wheel will suffice . Usually they won't borther you if you travel during non peak hours.
