China has a centuries-old history of more than 5000 years. Nowadays, solidarity is the most estimable value in the 21st century, in my mind.
This year, we, Chinese people, really have suffered a lot; from snowstorm to Tibet Riot, from Torch Relay Event to Wen Chuan Earthquake. However, we haven’t been defeated. Instead, we've become more united and show great resolution to overcome all kinds of challenges to make our country more thriving and prosperous.
I am indignant with those critics or evil thinking people who want to denigrate our efforts. Every single Chinese would be wrathful when they hear those Tibet people were burning people’s houses, plundering all the valuable things. But as a Chinese oversea student, the only wish that I made, is china to be peaceful, everyone will have their own home to live and have three healthy meals every day.
We paraded to support the 2008 Bei Jing Olympic games everywhere in world and I glad to heard that we won the torch of Olympic game; we fight against those people which killed the populace, burned their houses, robbed their properties for Tibet independence; we do the things in our power to make our nationality and territory to be one part. As like our people saying:
” Blessed China, united countrymen.”
“ face the earthquake, Union is strength.”
    At present, we are deeply also ashamed that we are helpless for the compatriots in the earthquake effected area in China. We just receive up-date news of the number of people killed in the 7.8level strong earthquake struck Sichuan on May. 12. I was watching the tragic dead bodies on TV at present and we couldn’t do anything for them. There is no love in disaster, but we have love in humans heart. My thoughts and prayers go out to the people of China, and I hope we do the right thing and offer help to them. I am willing to contribute my pocket money to them, to aid our compatriots that suffered the earthquake in China. And I believe our whole nation will become more united as a family. People, especially for the overseas Chinese like us, we will exhibit the unbreakable united from our behavior and our heart.
As Chinese student in the 21st century, we are proud of the economic development of our country; we are proud of our nation’s long history; we are proud of our people who made all the great sacrifices to save lives of others in the disaster; we are proud that all Chinese are united as a family. Although we experiencing so many disasters so many moments of desperation. But if we can face them and head on, that's how we find out just how strong we really are.
