Subject: Tibet - support the Dalai Lama
Hi,
I just signed an urgent petition calling on the Chinese government to respect human rights in Tibet and engage in meaningful dialogue with the Dalai Lama. This is really important, and I thought you might want to take action:
After nearly 50 years of Chinese rule, the Tibetans are sending out a global cry for change. But violence is spreading across Tibet and neighbouring regions, and the Chinese regime is right now considering a choice between increasing brutality or dialogue, that could determine the future of Tibet and China.
We can affect this historic choice. China does care about its international reputation. Its economy is totally dependent on "Made in China" exports that we all buy, and it is keen to make the Olympics in Beijing this summer a celebration of a new China that is a respected world power.
President Hu needs to hear that 'Brand China' and the Olympics can succeed only if he makes the right choice. But it will take an avalanche of global people power to get his attention. Click below to join me and sign a petition to President Hu calling for restraint in Tibet and dialogue with the Dalai Lama -- and tell absolutely everyone you can right away. The petition is organized by Avaaz, and they are urgently aiming to reach 1 million signatures to deliver directly to Chinese officials:

hei buddy
How is going?Have u get ur self a occupation?Wish everthing gose well.
Last few days the Tibet issue is coming to be a hightlight spot.As a educated ,not institutionalized-mind, I have to declear or express my point of view about this matter. I would tell u ,lots of chinese people do not enjoy or agree the leadship of Communist Party in many way, such as no free willing, corruption, non-legal system, high CPI,ect. BUT as a ordinary resident of a multi-national coutry, china, I would also tell the world , we are not Yugoslavia, it is our responsibilty to keey our country united, no matter who the hell would be the leader.I cant imagine why western country surpport independency of Tibet? What's your oppinoin of civil right? If u think one nation one country is so call civil right ,I cant agree with that .U have been to Tibet , so u got a intuitionistic sence of Tibet, is that situation so bad as some western describe?
I think it dose has something to do with ideology. And FUCK ideology. Politics go to hell.
U r right, lots of chinese live on 'made in china',coz it has high value of (capability / price) .Think about it man, what if no 'made in china'.U have to pay twice or triple for grocery.Althrough I dont think being the globe factory is a good idea for long term ecomonic and environment protection.
At last , liberte, egalite, fraternite is my motto. But what is the real form of liberte? There are still left something to chat.
U r welcomed to argue with me about that.
My friend, may u enjoy your life

Subject: Tibet - support the Dalai Lama
Hi,
I just signed an urgent petition calling on the Chinese government to respect human rights in Tibet and engage in meaningful dialogue with the Dalai Lama. 这真的重要,并且我认为你可能想要采取行动:
I won't go into a debate now, it would take long and as you know, I am currently writing a book so it's not the best moment.
However, just remember that the Dalai-lama was given the peace nobel prize by the international community. If that's not enough to prove that he is a wonderful man, I don't know what can be .....
I know that the Chinese government try to control information about Tibet but please try not to be brainwashed. Go on dalailama.com or put Tibet or Dalai-lama in Google, you can't read anything about him. The whole world respect him very much, there must be a reason, no ???
The Dalai-lama would be the last person in the world to encourage violence unlike the Chinese government who already killed hundreds of people who are not happy about the cultural genocide currently taking place in Tibet.
The most important now is not the independance, it's the respect of human rights.
Now, it's hard to get images from Tibet because the Chinese government excluded the foreign journalists. What a nice image of liberty of press....
The petition objective is not to ask for independance but dialogue with the Dalai-lama and respect of human rights.
