You can either sent it to the shop to have your bike cleaned or do it yourself... i prefer cleaning the bike yourself as you'll understand every nook and cranny so you'll be aware of any wear and tear for future replacements. I think Trek shops sells the cleaning tools you're looking for but you'll have better luck at 27bike near Urumuqi road because they just got in some fresh supplies of cleaning agents and tools for the job.作者: bazzer 时间: 2008-3-4 20:32
hi guys,
i have had bad experience of sending my roadie into the store for a clean up.
i guess like wot mr fastjudy said, do it yourself....
its not that difficult.
all u need is an old rag and some citrus degreaser which u can get it from carrefour or (yes) 27bike.
and do a wipe down, take note of areas where road sh*t and mud will be left over i.e. underside of the fork and the back of the seat tube.
for the cogs, use the chain cleaner and the brushes provided in the cleaning kit again with ur degreaser to degrease and wash away the dirt and grim collected after x number of rides.
after which rmb to grease back again, and i reccomend dry teflon lube over wet teflon lube by finish line as wet lube tend to collect grim easier than dry ones.
i usually spend about 30 mins to an hour doing this and it has become a routine every weekend after long rides if i feel the bike deserves a good clean up... then again going out on a ride with a clean bike does motivate u to train even more.
hope that helps :)
