Well, first of all, I should say "Thank you" to monk for giving the chance to all of us to enjoy the contest as well as to get the nice award.

This summer, July, I wanna to attend the 2007 Shimano Bike Festival (Maybe it should be translated in this way, I'm not sure) in Nanjing with my cycling team. And what I need is just a pair of good tires for the mountain bike to overcome the hard road in that game.

But what I get now is just a pair of thin tires for the road in Shanghai. So, I write this essay to see if I could be the lucky guy who would get the nice tires without any paying, aha.

Oh, last but not least, the wide 2.1 is just in my style.

Really appreciate this kind of giving-away, hereunder please find my essay for this contest!

As an English major, I never thought that one day English would benefit me in this way.

When in my university, our professor asked us to worte an short essay on our first writting class. And luckily, mine was chosen as the model that was read on the coming class.

In the essay, I wrote about the my four dreams in this life on this earth. The second dream is to be Echo the Second, travelling through out the world. Here I'm proud to tell that I have measured the dessert in Mid-East, the castle in Europe, the beach in Rio de Jeaneiro and the typical rain forest in Africa by my feet.

And now it's the time to explore our wonderful motherland foot by foot. I'm sure that my journey will be secured with these two tires backed up.

I want to say thank you to Fastjudy or I may never notice that there is an English Forum in this website.  Also it is Fastjudy that gives me the impulse to write in English.

Although taking part in an English contest for free tire is interesting, I think making some friends here and making this forum hotter and more noticeable is more meaningful.  To be frank, I do not think I could win the contest.   Being just a kindergarten boy for MTB, I had my own rudimental bike this February, so I could not tell what the advantage the tire will bring me.   I may guess that they are much lighter than what I am employing now, so that I were able to rider faster.

I think everyone here can see through Fastjudy's deliberate purpose to accumulate the popularity for this forum, so I write this essay, if it could be called essay.  Sincerely hope that Fastjudy can find a guy in need of them and knowing the advantage.

Liga in Tokyo Love Stories said that "The enjoyment of love is the courses of participating."   It is the same to this contest.

Yes, the sole intention is to create more traffic in this section of the forums. In the past few months, only 田鱼, CS, SY, myself and a few others actually borthered to visit this place.

The importance of this exercise is the participation of the members... to encourage them to "try" to communicate in English, be it spoken or writen.  

I'm glad this little stunt has brought your attention to the English forum, hopefully you'll hang around here more often!

1.    For show. I am a show off person; the fancy bike suit makes me look cool.
2.    To have a healthy body
3.    I don’t like it, I am a professional racer, and this sport is only my job.
4.    It helps me get away from the crowded city and concrete office buildings.

Last question: To be really honest, if I had offered something less desirable or even crappy, do you think you still would spend hours try to come up with the essay?

Hi There,

Good questions, I'll do my best to answer them.

First of all, The intention of this contest is to generate traffic flow into the English forum. We have other sections in this forum in manderin to answer those questions you've brought up. Most importantly, we're not running a survey here...

And you are right, if i had offered some crappy give-away....i'm sure no one will be borthered to enter but then again, that would be under estimating our fellow members aren't we? Besides, i know the give-away would be attractive enough hence why i started the contest.

I hope this will paint you a better understanding of the contest. Thanks!

Don't mean to make a mess here, Fastjudy. You might have noticed that in my first message that I put in "can we also ......", I didn't say " can we ...... instead". I just thought to ask people who are eligible to enter the next round those question would be fun, that's all there is to it.

haha...i think you are confused with my answer as well.... i knew the questions aren't for me. The reason why surveys aren't conducted in the English section is because majority of the people here in the forums are not English savy... so i kept the contest rules simple so that even people who are not very good in English can participate in this contest.

I think we should put this aside and keep the contest going....

Firstly, I feel shame to say that my English is not very good.... I haven`t been majored in English.After reading previous ones,I found the difference between the pro and the beginner(just like me )

BUT!!
I`m  a CRAZY fan about cycling as all my friends here and so I`ll do it to the best of my ability to state my point of view!Thanks to all of you(heshang,cs,....) for supporting me all the way.

This is my story.From the year before last year,I started to know my GIANT atx 740.
Soon ,he became my best friend,Every time i ride on it on the road.Kind of impulsion would fill in my heart.The impulsion that i`ll ride with my steel friend to the last day of my life.

I have a conviction .As is showed in my sign..That`s "every man has a demon inside".I always dream to conquer every massif and creek in my motherland.I BELIEVE that the earth has a soul and some day ,when I am shuttle in the jungle.The soul`ll enjoy my happiness and smile from deep of his heart but not being destoried by manmade bombs ,gas and axes any more……..

BUT...........
The original wheel set from my beloved 740,the tyre in particular….Is heavily burdened,and badly wear-out after 1500 km+.(please look at the picture…..)
Still then,I always hold my dream and insist in riding in the countryside .But to be frank with everyone of you,it`s too beat-out even if I inexhaustly ride and ride…..  So, to some extent I have to say that i`m in  dire need of this tyre....
If i`m lucky enough to have this pair of tyre.I promise I`ll cherish it and try my best not to let everyone of you down.I`ll set aside as much as time to take very good use of them.Please ,trust me and please point out mistakes i`ve made in this text which I spent a few hours to finish and it`s my first time to submit my composition in English Forum .Please forgive me for my class being  too low.

Hats off to all of you  again from deep of my heart!!(learned from BANZHU!)

Teammate? Friend? Lover? Who are you my dear bike? In fact, I known you are the one and the all and more! I need you like birds need the wings, I need you like fishs need waters. Whatever you are the best company to me, and forever.
   I go to working with you, go to studying with you. And when I difficult to thinking of somethings, I talking with you about my mood. You always the best listener. Even if you can’t speaking, but I think you will known my feeling indeed. Because our telesthesia, because our 8 years friendship. Others, if I am happy. I will walking around my city with you. You will be happy too. Certainly I known that. And we will catching the sunshine or bathing the moonshine together. And enjoy the road speed or the mountain climb.
   We all like sports, like racing, like over the endline. It’s us, never stopping, never break up. I say I wanna win the shoes to you this time. The old is too heavy to you.
