BTW, it is probably more appropriate to use "thread" instead of its plural form for "文章", also "poll" instead of "vote", "普通主体" can be just "thread" not "ordinary thread".

I have to admit I have no idea how to say "精华贴" exactly in English.

As far as I know, 普通主题 can be expressed in threads or topics, and 精华主题 in hot topices or hot threads, and 作者are usually use starter or posted by. FYI.

"hot topics" stands for 热门主题 i think...
