REPORTS TO Managing Director SUMMARY The Retail Services Manager is responsible for supporting the Chinese market by upholding the Specialized brand standards in the retail environment. Through strategic planning, regular communication, quality research and creative evolution, the Retail Services Manager will provide the best retail marketing tools to the Chinese market. HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE l Translate content provided by global marketing to creatively and effectively represent Specialized branded initiatives and product collateral to support retail business l Align with Global Marketing calendar to create in-store collateral availability in China l Regular assessment of markets to determine needs l Knowledge of print processes and vendor management l Well-versed in available materials and formats for retail marketing initiatives l Demonstrate an understanding of marketing/communication based graphic design l Follow research processes to provide quantitative and qualitative results for all major in-store collateral l Regular reporting on efficacy of materials and plans for modification l Market communications to relay results of marketing support collateral l Provide clear timelines for development, review, design and delivery of in-store support l Demonstrated understanding of POP/Fixture line, within 30 days of employment l Clear understanding of retail store layout l Provide clear leadership and direction for all involved in the development of marketing initiative-focused collateral l Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal business partners (Global Marketing, Product Development, Industrial Design, all markets and Retail Services teams) l Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with all vendors, providing regular feedback and direction l Potential negotiation of difficult matters (vendor claims/dispute resolution) l Follow strategic planning practices Physical Requirements l Extensive travel may be required l Must be able to safely and regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds l Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods of time l Must be comfortable with climbing ladders l Must be able to work occasional long hours and weekends SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE l Must have fluent English and Mandarin communication skills l Minimum of 2-years marketing experience, preferably in retail l Understanding of marketing terminology and practices l Excellent verbal and written communication l Elevated attention to detail l Proven ability to build teams and partnerships l Process-oriented l Strong ability to prioritize within team and department l High level of accountability and reporting l Data-driven l Advanced knowledge of Adobe CS Suite and Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, PowerPoint or Key Note l Flexibility on the job; ability to adapt quickly and react positively to business needs and changes in strategies l Comfortable with team-based work structure l Skillful in retail merchandising is an advantage l Strong problem-solving skills l Self-disciplined and able to meet tight deadlines |
