Pinarello unveils its first road frame designed in carbon fiber , the Pinarello F4:13. What sets this carbon fiber frameset from other frame builders?Well, Pinarello has experimented and designed some of the most innovative frames that have donned the pro peleton.In fact, Pinarello first used carbon fiber over a decade ago when he mated tubes of carbon fiber with steel tig-welded lugs to created the Carbox frameset ridden by Miguel Indurain.Subsequently, Pinarello created the carbon fiber time-trial frame used by Miguel Indurain in 1994 to break the World Hour Record.
Since then, Pinarello has offered carbon fiber monocoque frames exclusively for time trial and pista Montello. Celebrities such as Riis, and Ullrich have ridden these wonderful bikes.Pinarello, however,has devoted most of his energy designing road frames using new materials such as AK61 magnesium alloy which is found in the Dogma and Dogma FP.
