[Hot Bikes]Jeff Lenosky’s Signature Giant STP
http://www.d1010871.domain.com/applications/Nucleus/media/4/20061205-leno%20build.jpgJeff Lenosky wasn’t able to make it out to Southern California for last weekend’s Atomlab Supersessions, but he was able to show up today.
Jeff stopped by the decline office just long enough to build up his bike and take off around town with decline’s Away Team photographer: Ian Hylands. The rest of the decline Home Team staff is busy working on our 2007 Mountain Bikes and Accessories Buyer’s Guide, but we took a moment away from our data entry chores to check out Jeff’s new ride while it was strung out all over our parking lot…
White powder-coated components still seem to be the shizzz these days, enough so that Jeff chose to Krylon his Truvativ Holzfeller bars to fit in with the rest of the “cool kids.”

Much like JHK, Julien Absalon and other XC wienies, Jeff chooses to run Avid's Juicy Ultimate brakes. They’re crazy light and that’s what the Bunny Hop World Record Holder demands.

As it turns out, Lenosky rides a mountain bike… so he has a front brake on his mountain bike. And he routes the front brake cable like this… on his mountain bike.

Did you know that Jeff has his own signature Jeff Lenosky semi-integrated headset from Acros? They’re a German company and they give him a percentage of all his headset sales, so make sure to buy the Acros Big Balls Jeff Lenosky headset, so J. Lo can buy Christmas presents for all those kids of his this holiday season.

Back in the day, one of the first guys who got away with running two bashrings sans rollers or guides on their hardtail was Joe Haley. Today, Jeff also runs the double bashring setup on his Truvativ Holzfeller OCT cranks.

Maxxis just recently started producing new smaller sized Holy Rollers. Jeff’s bike has the new 2.20” in the back and a 2.40” on the front.

Prototype starts here: See that hole Jeff drilled in to the Crank Brothers logo on his 5050 pedal? He thought it'd look cool if the two holes of their logo were drilled out. Too bad after he finished the first hole, he realized he didn't have another drill bit small enough to do the other one...

Giant has already sold out of the Jeff Lenosky signature North Carolina Tar Heels-esque colored STP frameset. But from what Jeff says, Giant is producing a second batch that will be available soon.

I've posted a test & rate for that brake on this forum, you can go check it out
but seems like it feels the same as the Juicy 7, but much lighter that's all I love GIANT. Because it can make me share the joy of the ride And it is my begining, not only bicycle life, but also my love. 引用第6楼hawaii于2006-12-16 01:21发表的:

I would be more glad if you switch to Street insteat of XC But for riding GIANT bicycle, I didn't fall in love.
