Pu Xi weekend winter training route.
Finally, a trail worthy of riding in the Pu XI district.Meeting place: Zhong Shan park main entrance.
Meeting time: Every saturday and sunday at 7am, please be punctual.
Riding route: Zhong Shan park main entrance --- Zhong Shan LRT (Light Rapid Transid) station --- Jin Sha Jiang road LRT station --- Jin Sha Jiang road (till the end) --- make a right along the road --- Bo Yuan road (till the end) --- make a left to Me Yu Road --- An Ting new developement area (double back on the same route).
A brief explaination on the riding route and things you need to be aware of:
The entire trip are based mainly on these 2 roads; Jin Sha Jiang road and Bo Yuan road. Due to the fact that the begining and the end of these training routes are situated near the city center, it is advised that within the first 7 kilometers of these routes are not suitable for intense riding or speeding. Every participant must ride with precaution and safety in mind.
Jin Sha Jiang road and Bo Yuan are both intersected, 2 vehicle lanes in a single direction, a concrete path seperates non motorized vehicle from the rest. You'll reach An Ting road at the end of Bo Yuan road, it is approximately 30 kilometers away from the starting point. Every round made in the An Ting developement area is 3.5 kilometers, the roads are wide with little vehicle and under normal circumstances, a stop for rest, refueling and restroom will be made after every 3 to 5 rounds of riding. After that, the pack will make for home using the same route back to the city.
The total journey is around 80 kilometers; there will be many bridges to cross and concaving highways to overcome. The difficulty level is of Pudong type of rides.
Difficulty level : ☆☆☆ (5☆being the highest)
The entire training session is about 80 kilometers and the session will end before 11am in the city center. Every rider will ride according to their capability and plan their return route respectively. No limitations to bicycle used.
Notices:
1) Every cycling trip posses its own threat and possible injuries may occur during these rides so it is every riders responsibility to care for their own safety and prepare their own helmet and safety gears for each trip.
2) Every participant MUST BE 18 and above and has the ability to make their own decision and judgment to abide to the rules and regulations posted above. Every participant must be aware of the dangers in these activities and here forth agrees to the fact that if any injuries caused by direct or in-direct contact with pedestrian, motor and non motorized vehicles, road conditions, mechanical failure, lack of safety measures and weather conditions, personal health conditions that endangers the rider or fellow riders are not liable by the organizers. It is advised that for personal benefit each participants should purchase road insurance when they choose to enter such riding trips.
3) Some participants may take the MRT, LRT or the ferry to reach the meeting point, it is advised that you abide the road and traffic rules and regulations at all times.
4) Such cycling trips are not official riding events and if any occurrence should arise; bikehome, their fellow moderators and organizers will bear no responsibility prior, during or after the event.
5) All cycling trips will be cancel due to rain or slippery road conditions.
