比賽將於7月1日 (星期六) 開始至7月23日(星期日) 止,共分20站，總全長3639公里。
20站分別為
- 9個平地賽段
- 4個丘陵賽段
- 5個山地賽段
- 2個個人計時賽段
其中包括頂目：
- 3 mountain finishes
- 2個休息日
- 116公里的 individual time-trials
- 22個Cat 1，Cat 2和最高點爬行
- 9個新站 (Obernai, Saint-Gregoire, Saint-Meen-le-Grand, Cambo-les-Bains, Val d'Aran - Pla-de-Beret, Montelimar, La Toussuire Les Sybelles, Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne, Antony)
- 此次環法的獎金總額為320萬歐元，冠軍可以得到45萬歐元的支票，比去年增加了5萬。
